Childcare Lists

Child Care Assistance

WVU and the State of WV offer several programs that can be used to offset the cost of childcare. Learn more about these at the link below.

Mon Health Perinatal Education Program

Classes that help to prepare for baby. There is a modest fee for each class.

Mon General Hospital Birthing Center

304-598-1200
1200 J.D. Anderson Dr.
Morgantown, WV 26505

If you are considering a more secluded and tailored birthing experience Mon General’s Birthing Center may be a good option! They provide suites to expecting mothers and the option of a water birth. They also provide parenting classes, breastfeeding help, and aftercare just as Ruby Memorial Hospital does.

Mountaineer Kid Zone (MKZ)

A flex-care center for children located in the Student Recreation Center. Services are free, but a parent needs to be a Rec Center member to use it (students who pay fees are members). A parent must stay on premise, using the facility or studying in the back room.

Pregnancy and Lactation Policies

WVU has many supports and resources for pregnant students, faculty, and staff as well as new parents.

Please also check out the lactation policy for planning after baby is born.
