Introduction
The WRC wants to make sure you have access to period products, contraceptives and resources for women’s health and reproductive care. Students, faculty and staff can grab freebies at WRC events and during regular office hours.
A variety of freebies include:
- Period Products: Disposable supplies (tampons and pads) and non-disposable supplies (period cups)
- Sexual Health: Condoms, lube, dental dams
Take the Menstrual Module for a FREE Menstrual Cup
Each semester, the WRC provides information about the benefits of reusable, sustainable menstrual cups and offers students the opportunity to earn a free cup if they complete a brief training module.

About the training module
The training covers the benefits of using a non-disposable menstrual cup, what cup size is appropriate for you, and common barriers and solutions to menstrual cup use. Those who successfully complete the training module will be asked identification questions (e.g. your name, WVU email) to help verify who is eligible for a free cup.
Where do I pick up my free cup?
Menstrual cups may be redeemed on any Tuesday or Thursday between the hours of 11am and 4pm at the WRC Office in Field Hall room 3217.
Fall 2024 Term: August 27 and November 12, 2024. Spring 2025 term: January 15 - April 29, 2025
Can I participate if I am a student at WVU Tech or PSC?
Students from satellite campuses may email wrc@mail.wvu.edu for more information.This module was developed in partnership between WRC Director Dr. Leslie Tower and Public Health Prevention and Intervention (SPVH 621) students, Ghada Atalla, Ethan Glad, Ryan Kirk, and Carly Williamson. The course is taught by Drs. Elizabeth Claydon and Danielle Davidov.
Free Period Products at WVU Libraries
Free period products are available in all-gender bathrooms throughout the Downtown and Evansdale Libraries.

Reynolds Hall has disposable menstrual products available in their restrooms. These are only offered as-needed and are not intended to be a month's supply.
